Why I chose Van der Wal Swimming School
I'm the mother of a child with Down syndrome. Choosing a good swim school was especially important to me, especially for my child's safety and development in the water. After much searching, I chose Van der Wal Swim School, and I'm thrilled with it!
First acquaintance
My first contact with the swim school was excellent. The staff were friendly and clear in their explanations. They explained how the lessons work, the size of the groups, and how they monitor the children's progress. This immediately gave me a good feeling and confidence that I had made the right choice.
My experience
Swimming with my child isn't always easy. She wants to do everything her own way, so that can be a challenge. It's also nerve-wracking for me to be in the water and guide her. Fortunately, the swim school is very understanding and patient.
I was surprised when my daughter dared to stay underwater for a while. She even enjoys swimming through a hole underwater, with help! I hadn't expected that. She still drinks a little water sometimes, but that's part of it.
I felt comfortable during the lessons. I even got to go in the water with my daughter, which I really enjoyed. This way, we learn together, and it's more fun for her. The instructors take their time with each child and make the lessons enjoyable and motivating.
Because my daughter needs extra attention, I appreciated the small groups. This way, she received the guidance she needed and became increasingly confident in the water. What struck me most was how patient and positive the instructors are. They carefully consider each child's abilities and adapt the exercises accordingly. This made my daughter feel safe and she enjoyed her swimming lessons.
Conclusion
My choice of Van der Wal Swimming School was a perfect one. The expert guidance, the warm atmosphere, and the personalized approach made the lessons very enjoyable. I definitely recommend this swimming school, especially to parents looking for a place where the needs of each child are truly taken into account. And sometimes they even turn it into a fun disco party! 🎉
